THE DANCE //

Beneath the ancient skies we danced

Caught in a whirlwind of words and stolen glances

Skirts flying, hands dipping.

Only you knew the steps,

My clumsy feet determined to keep up.

Breathless, panting.

Stars lit the midnight skies

An ambiance so deep it transformed

Eyes dazed, souls entwined.

Verses of songs long since past

Our feet found

The dance itself seemed endless

Beneath the ancient skies we danced

Upon the mountains tops,

The rush we danced pumped veins to sing...

"May I cut in?”
